VSSLs weren’t created by marketing focus groups in some boardroom. They were invented by the company founder, Todd Weimer, while he was growing up in Northern Canada, travelling light by making the smallest, most practical kits to carry essential gear.

VALR VSSLs
Working with Todd and VSSL team we have developed a range of 6 motorcycling VALR VSSLs to address a few of the key challenges an adventure motorcyclist is likely to encounter during a journey.
The VALR ‘Hlíf’ is there when you need it most providing immediate shelter, with an adjustable LED light at one end and oil-filled compass at the other.

The VALR ‘Hilf’ VSSL contains a reel of para cord on a wooden bobbin, 2 metal fixing spikes and a large enough, heat-reflective emergency shelter to provide effective emergency cover for 1 or 2 people; probably more if it was rigged with some imagination!
Stuck at the side of road waiting for help to arrive or providing some welcome to an injured person, the emergency blanket within the VALR ‘Hlíf VSSL is a readily accessible and very useful first-aid support.
