The VALR Adventure Alliance will be made up of more than just you and us: we’ve been busy forming relationships with a wide range of organisations to further support you and provide a huge range of services.

Planning Support

Whether you are planning a Silk Road extravaganza, a weeks’ camping in the Alps or a weekend on the coast, we have a range of planning support services being made ready to support you.  Our team of planners are all highly expert and experienced in all forms of overland travel and know what it takes to make it fun, safe and within a budget.  Let us know what you need, and we’ll put something together to suit. Better yet if we can’t do it, we’ll know someone who can, and we’ll connect you.

Adventure Travel Kit

Parts & Accessories

Just as with the kit you choose to have available to you on the journey, having the right parts and accessories on your motorcycle is equally important.

For both the kit you might carry and the parts you decide to add to your ride, we have assembled a range of partner organisations that can cater for either your custom build requirements (we understand, you need that pannier in pink, it’s OK) or something more straightforward like a screen extender.

Transport & Logistics

The VALR Alliance partners will include a range of transport and other logistics support. We’ve used a number of different transport and freight companies over the years and have some strong recommendations about what works and what doesn’t; everything from a door-to-dock services through to just shipping. Equally, if during your ride you have a problem with your motorcycle, need a re-stock of those vital teabags that got ruined in the rain or a replacement front tyre we have a range of partners that will either source and support locally or can ship things to you from anywhere in the world.

One partnership we are particularly excited about for those of you who may be planning to travel further afield and perhaps into more challenging environments, is with an emergency International rescue company who can find, fix and/or repatriate you and your motorcycle if things take a turn for the worse.  You may never need it but, like any insurance, its best to plan on ‘when’ not ‘if’ and be sure you’re covered!

Venues

We’ve partnered with a range of accommodation partners for global support. All have been thoroughly checked for the motorcycle friendly amenities, local attractions and other support services (fuel, food, garage, etc). As with other services available through the VALR Adventure Alliance, all bookings made through our partners will be offered at a discount against normal pricing for Alliance members.

Adventure Travel Insurance

Adventure bike insurance quotes have increased by 118% in the last 10 years supporting the surge in adventure bike sales often referred to as “The Long Way Round effect”.

VALR has created a unique motorcycle adventure insurance product that goes above and beyond traditional motorcycle insurance to cover every eventuality a rider might require or encounter. This can include:

• Adventure touring and off-roading as standard
• Around the world touring up to two years in duration**.
• If the rider cannot use their bike during a trip, including a benefit to collect a bike if it has to be left behind. Covers loss or damage to motorcycle luggage, panniers and tank bags
• Damaged or stolen motorcycle kit, including helmet, gloves, clothing and boots.
• Gadgets including SAT NAV, mobile phone, intercoms and other electronics associated with the bike
• Covers any size motorcycle as long as the rider is licensed to ride the equivalent bike in the UK.
